Why can’t I get enough of hearing what Disney fans love about the parks? I have a dozen well curated Disney podcasts in my library!

Hearing a shared affection for a counter service restaurant or the camaraderie for the same queue makes me feel understood by fellow members of the Disney community. We can and do discuss these topics at great length with a passion.

Sometimes, the Disney Parks can be challenging to navigate, especially when it comes to food. So, here is a list of my favorite places to eat in Walt Disney World. I had to narrow it way down to be reasonable. Plus, there are dining options on my wish-list I’m hoping to add.

Magic Kingdom

Jungle Navigation Co LTD Skipper Canteen – wow…theming is next level. This sit down dining ties in with Its’ Adventure Land neighboring attraction, The Jungle Cruise. More flavor and spice than average menus. Enjoy!

Columbia Harbor House

Columbia Harbor House – somehow this counter service is comforting. It feels like grandmas house to me, complete a simple menu to please most. The 2nd story is often uncrowded and has welcoming sunny windows to watch guests running around below. Once we took naps upstairs! I’m pretty sure a couple of us were wiped out from cold medicine but still! It says a lot that we fell asleep up there.
Notice those cozy upstairs windows.

A little midday nap on the second story

Sleepy Hollow – it’s a treat to sit under the Liberty Trees’ charming hanging lanterns with a fresh fruit waffle sandwich.
Gaston’s Tavern – just strolling in this little town wanting more than this provincial life!…with the ambiance of Gaston’s hunting lodge, I feast on a cinnamon roll as big as Gastons’ bicep. Always ask for extra icing. La Fous’ Brew is Disney’s version of Butter Beer, let’s be real….I think it’s scrumptious.

Lunch is a better deal. Notice the “Grey Stuff” cupcake

Be our Guest – this is even deeper of an immersive experience. I’d go with lunch in the forbidden west wing. The “snow” special effect in the main dining room windows is actually the same used in the live action remake. Pretty cool.

Epcot
The entire world showcase! Yah… this is my favorite thing about WDW. I get chills entering Canada or Mexico knowing I get to go around the world for the next few hours. There is seriously too much to share. It will have to be another day. One thing to note, Japan quick service has a great nap area like I mentioned earlier. Elegant gardens lie Secluded and tucked away from the busyness. Sip a Sapporo and feel free to put your head down and rest like I do. It is just about the half way point around and if your enjoying some adult beverages, it’s a nice break.

Sleeping in Japan

Garden Grill – in the Land Pavilion for breakfast. Known for its cinnamon rolls. Hmmm.. I mentioned cinnamon rolls earlier, curious. It’s got a retro 70’s feel and my favorite characters, Chip & Dale live there.

Hollywood Studios

Oga’s Cantina – this must do Star Wars experience has me looking over my shoulder for Greedo with shifty eyes. You’ve gotta be determined to get a reservation, it’s popular. There is a 2 drink maximum. I try 2 new drinks every time.
Woody’s Lunchbox – easy to mobile order, enjoy a grilled cheese with tots, don’t forget the pop tarts.

The fried chicken or meatloaf?

Primetime Cafe – you gotta go hang out with your “family” (they are actually cast members pretending to be related to you) making you free range to scold for not eating your veggies. It’s hilarious, just play along. The wedge salad is pretty good. Seriously traditional comfort food.

Backlot Express – this is where you can find the Wookie Cookie, an oatmeal cream pie. Great variety and lots of seating. Mobile order your heart out here.

Try the charcuterie board to go along

Base Line Tap House – when you need a break from exploring Batuu in Galaxy’s Edge and coming back to earth sounds nice and familiar, get a charcuterie and a couple beers. Catch your breath and plan your evening.

Animal Kingdom

Nomad Lounge – you guys, this is the most chill comfortable area I stumbled on and didn’t even know it existed. Bonus: Tiffins selections on the lounge menu…score! If you sit outside overlooking the water, it’s super relaxing. I feel like I’m in a different country there.

Soaking up some sun on a cold January day with a view of the entrance to Pandora Let me know what your favorites are. I’m always looking for new additions to try.
